Donations recommended

Nobody in ministry likes to talk about money- especially charging “fees”. And yet, money matters were one of Jesus’ and the Apostle Paul’s most frequently addressed themes. When I originally launched the ChurchWorks website in 2017, I simply asked individuals to make a “donation” whenever they chose to download a resource. After 4 years- only one donation was given. Therefore, I need to change my strategy.

If you discover a helpful resource and simply cannot afford to make a donation for it- please help yourself. A Recommended Donation is listed beneath each resource. This is merely compensation for the time I invest in study and writing. If you can help- please do. If these resources are of no value to anyone, then ChurchWorks will simply disappear! My time is a nonrenewable resource. Perhaps I should invest it elsewhere.

Am I the only one who finds that my prayer life is lacking vibrant creativity? They are designed to be modified for personal, group or corporate prayer. If you and God have not been on good speaking terms, I hope this will jumpstart some divine conversations. (19 pages)

Candidating for a ministry position is often lopsided. This guide frames candidating as a dating relationship so that “employer and potential employee” are asking all the right questions before they say, “I do!”

Like it or not, this document is your Church’s “legal Bible.” When was the last time your leaders took time to reassess its accuracy? It isn’t inspired- so simplify it if necessary!

I am not a professionally licensed counselor- but I did earn a Master’s degree in Counseling. That training has served me well in pastoral ministry because of the wide range of life challenges people face. I am also well aware that many church leaders do not enjoy or are not gifted in ways to offer help and hope in crises This simple tool can help you to ask the right kinds of questions which may clarify a presenting challenge, crisis or problem.
